Reclaim your heart

Bismillah

On the 15th of April i got the chance to attend a brilliant event held in kl featuring one of the most inspiring woman, Yasmin Mogahed. alhamdulillah. it was worth the time. i got all the advises i most certainly need around this time. the mc for the night was Wardina Safiyyah, another renown  public figure that i highly adore.especially on her parenting skill, among others.

There was just so much been shared that i find it difficult to write it down and again deliver the same thing to the readers here. at the very beginning of the event, there was a sketch about Palestine played by a group of children. MashaAllah.such cute girls they are! they made me cry. the message was just too deep. It potreyed the highest dream of these children in the land of Palestine to fight for the ummah....for their land and dignity.they go to school, to gain knowledge as they may or may not come back that day. and  when people they love died around them, they believe strongly that Allah loves them more.

"Where is Bushra? I know, Bushra is in Jannah! Just like my brother and my father......." the girl exclaimed.

The session with Yasmin Mogahed was after a video presentation of the work of the viva palestine Malaysia.   there's this woman , Dr.Husna . she was truly an inspiration.i would love to get the very chance to go to palestine one day in a charity mission. hmm

sitting with ain and fad.  a few times, Ain will explain to me
the ibrah that she understood from the story told. :)

Basically, sister Yasmin shared a few very common story but in such a way that lifted my spirit. truly.
i feel like she spoke with such compassion and wins the people's heart. one of the very few story shared is about the mother of Musa a.s who had put her trust to Allah and gave in her child when the order came down. It was during the time of Firaun's ruling the land and when male child born, were killed.. soon after that, Musa embraced her mother's love once again when Allah destined them to meet .it shows how God understood what is in His creation's heart. He knows better of the pain felt by Musa's mother to have her child taken away from her at that time. Allah..

When you let go of something because of Allah. He will give something better for you.
All it takes is TRUST.

and sister Yasmin shared so much about the concept of tawakal.
though how many times that i've join usrah that circulate around the same topic, i never felt like i have had enough of such issue to discuss and talk about. it refresh and sort of rejuvenate your iman, being too much focused on the worldly matters. often, we are too busy with our own life that we forget to feed our soul.
this kinda act like a booster.to remind you again that no matter how great you are, you always have to turn back to Allah. coz we are indeed, weak creations.

In life, we are presented with trials.  and these, are not meant to make life miserable to some people or life difficult...instead , we must recognise these trials as ways of Allah to brought us back to him. as an asbab for us turn about , to pause for a moment and realise our weaknesses. I really like an analogy she mentioned, we are so much blinded by the worldly meaning of test or trial itself.

When a teacher gave a test to her students. The students cannot raise their hand and ask for help. imagine sitting for a math exam, and raising your hand to ask for solutions. i'm pretty sure CIE will disqualify you.no doubt. but, it is different when we talk about the test from a Creator to His creations. coz, unlike in worldly sense, He WANTS us to ask and pleade for HIS help, mercy and compassion.

when we look back  at the story of Yunus a.s trapped in the belly of a whale, Allah had beautifully captured the way for us to deal about with trials and what to do when have wronged ourselves. Firstly, by turning back to Him.

The dua by Yunus at that time;

Sahih International
And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
                                                                                                                  (Al anbiya') 21:87

still, trials does not necessarily came in the form of something unpleasant ,it could be one of the pleasures we had.
Often, Allah gave us gift. It could be your spouse, money, recognition and so on. Be it still with you or taken away from you, It is always because Allah wants you to refocus.

the lesson that we can get from Hajar's story when she runs to and from Safa and Marwa , searching for water, is that tawakal is the act of the heart, not the act of the limbs. if you cant find a solution to your problem, try. again and again even if it's the same way you go about. THIS... is perseverance.

and then we get the results. we may succeed or we may not. if we do,  please be reminded that it is not due to our effort that we get what we wants. The result came from Allah.what we do is just an asbab. a reason. when Hajar finally get the zamzam water , is it because of her effort running from safa to marwa? no. it's because of Allah.

'every single deed you do, is NOT your gift to Allah. but instead is Allah's gift to YOU.'

if the result is not the way we wished it could have been, remember..

"tawakal means, after you have done your part, you accept whatever the result is as the BEST for you."

the reason we cannot response as good during hard time is because we did not do the same at the time we are at ease. stop running towards the creations and put your utmost hope and trust to the Creator.

It's about reclaiming your heart and putting it back to where it suppose to be.

let us RECLAIM OUR HEART :)

p/s: no one need this advice much more than the person who's writing it. as much as i wanna share, i'm the one who get most out of it too.
